No. The EMP is not designed to replace your Women's Health Physio. However, we understand that for so many women, getting to a Women's Health Physio might not be possible. 

We recommend that every woman see a Women's Health Physio during the second trimester of pregnancy and at around 6-8 weeks postpartum.

We strongly believe that these visits should be supported by the Government and covered by Medicare.

If this isn't an option for you, the EMP will give you the information and exercises you need to feel informed about your body and empowered to make the best decisions for your and your baby's health.

The EMP workouts are designed to be done daily.

During Pregnancy it is recommended to do between 150 to 300 minutes of medium-intensity exercise per week.

It is also recommended to do two resistance based workouts each week.

Postnatally, we recommend starting from Day 1 with our simple pelvic floor and core breathing exercises. We help you to recover from birth with gentle daily workouts and build up to around 30 minutes per day at 6-8 weeks postpartum.

Our postnatal program is also designed to be done daily. Our mix of strength, pilates, barre and yoga classes means that you will be challenged, motivated and supported in a variety of ways.

Our workouts range for 15-45 minutes, so that even on your busiest days, you will have time for an Empowered Motherhood.

We have designed the EMP Postnatal Program to provide a graded progression through all stages of your postnatal recovery, from early postnatal rehab to advanced fitness.

How quickly you progress through the Levels will depend on your birth, your fitness history and the time you have available. 

Once you have moved through the Levels, we have no doubt that you will have your favourite EMP workouts that you will want to combine with your group training or HIIT sessions.

We also believe that by continuing to do pelvic floor and core workouts that are designed for mothers, you will be able to do the type of exercise you love in a much safer way!
