We believe every woman deserves access to the best in perinatal health. Each year, we offer several free memberships to the EMP for women who are in need of some extra support.

The EMP guides women through every stage of their pregnancy and postnatal journey with evidence-based exercise, expert education and real-time support. We are grateful to have been able to support these women through their pregnancy and postnatal journies.

I started EMP while I was pregnant with my second baby in 2020. I was keen to get a jump-start on my health and ensure I kept at bay the niggles of sore hips and prolapse. Things drastically derailed when I was 6 months pregnant and my husband died in the middle of the night from sudden cardiac arrest. In the weeks that followed Kimmy and Lyz had reached out to me and showed continued support to help me through the remaining time till the birth of my daughter.

In 2021 when my daughter was born EMP offered me a scholarship into the Postnatal program. As a solo mum to two getting out for most things are not the easiest, finding time to get to a gym is next to impossible. But with EMP, I am able to pick and choose exercises that suit the time available and match it to my strength and condition as the weeks passed into months. Now one year on, I’m in much better shape and tone than I was before either of my children were born. I’m confident that I know how to engage my muscles for core and pelvic floor strength. The online EMP community is a wonderful safe space to ask questions and share experiences along with your pregnancy and post-pregnancy journey.

Shortly after falling pregnant, Kath’s husband lost his job as an Air NZ pilot. The first few weeks of life with their newborn has been rough as they’ve resettled into a new home, had a lot of difficulty with a very sleepless bub. She mentioned to me the other night that she is struggling a bit also getting used to the changes in her body and would love help with healing her body (one thing I could empathise with, and offer my praises of the EMP program!).
